Course Overview
Advanta Safety, in association with Bloodworks, would like to introduce our new Medical Phlebotomy Training Course. This programme covers the skills of Adult Venepuncture & Hand Hygiene and has been specifically designed for medical and healthcare personnel - doctors, nurses, midwives, advanced paramedics, pharmacists and dentists, and is in accordance with HSE guidelines and protocols.
This one day practical workshop is run by highly skilled medical professionals. Classes are small to ensure participants gain skills, competence and knowledge in all areas of phlebotomy.
Successful participants will receive an Advanta Safety & Bloodworks Adult Venepuncture & Hand Hygiene Certificate confirming their success in completing clinical knowledge of the Adult Venepuncture Programme and will be deemed competent in the clinical work environment and in the skill of Adult Venepuncture. There are no live blood draws on this course. Practice is on manikin arms only.
Please note that after completing the course participants will need to refer to their own company/clinic policies and protocols to gain the relevant experience in Venepuncture and be ultimately signed off by an experienced and qualified Phlebotomist.
