Course Overview:
Our one day Basic First Aid course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to assist a person who is ill or injured. The course covers all the common medical emergencies as well as the four life-threatening emergencies; Cardiac Arrest, Heart Attack, Stroke, and Choking.
The course is suitable for anyone who wishes to gain a better understanding of first aid and feel confident to step forward and help someone in need.
We run regular public courses or alternatively, this course can be delivered onsite for groups.
Course Objectives:
On completion of this course participants will:
Be able to assess a patient who is ill or injured
Be capable of identifying common medical conditions and treating accordingly
Be able to recognize and provide immediate treatment for life-threatening conditions
Know how to react in an emergency situation

Course Overview:
This Covid-19 Lead Worker Representative Training course has been developed in line with the Government Return to Work Safely Protocol. According to the Covid-19 Specific National Protocol for Employers and Workers, an employer must appoint at least one Covid-19 lead worker representative to work alongside the employer to implement Covid-19 preventative measures and monitor adherence to these measures to prevent and protect against the spread of Covid-19. This course is designed to prepare and give competence to the Covid-19 Lead Worker Representative.

Course Objectives:
On completion of this course participants will:
Understand current Health & Safety Legislation and new COVID-19 Legislation
Be aware of the Role of the Covid-19 Lead Representative
Understand the importance of defending against the spread of COVID-19 and how to best manage this in the workplace
Be aware of the way to safely maintain & adapt the workplace premises
Familiar with effective ways to communicate to employees & customers
Understand the principles of Risk Assessment & Risk Management
Be familiar with the preparation for employee’s returning in-house inductions (and support documentation emailed after the course)
Be possess and use a lead worker representative checklist
Certification:
Advanta Safety Covid-19 Lead Worker Representatives Training Certificate.
